Multi Camera Image Measurement and Correspondence

چکیده

This paper describes part of a project to develop a multi-camera image tracking system. The system will be developed in the context of a surveillance and monitoring task, principally targeted at tracking people through indoor and outdoor environments. Moving objects were detected for each camera viewpoint using background subtraction. Correspondence between viewpoints is then established by epipole line analysis. Measurements were made in 3D on each corresponded object using a least squares estimate. The error covariance of each measurement was computed using a sensory uncertainty field. This information will be used to interpret the behaviour of the observed object and learn the relationships between each camera viewpoint and the scene under observation.

استفاده از نمایش پراکنده و همکاری دوربین‌ها برای کاربردهای نظارت بینایی

With the growth of demand for security and safety, video-based surveillance systems have been employed in a large number of rural and urban areas. The problem of such systems lies in the detection of patterns of behaviors in a dataset that do not conform to normal behaviors. Recently, for behavior classification and abnormal behavior detection, the sparse representation approach is used. In thi...

Multi-Image Correspondence using Geometric and Structural Constraints

In this paper, the problem of recovering three-dimensional information from multiple images is considered. The goal is to build a system that can incrementally process images acquired from arbitrary camera positions. Our approach makes use of both the geometric constraints inherent in the camera connguration, as well as the structural relationships between image features. The correspondence pro...

Circular Coded Target for Automation of Optical 3D-Measurement and Camera Calibration

One of the primary, but tedious, tasks for the user and developer of an optical 3Dmeasurement system is to find the homologous image points in multiple images, a task that is frequently referred to as the correspondence problem. Along with the solution, error-free correspondence and accurate measurement of image points are of great importance, on which the qualitative results of succeeding came...

A High-Accuracy Passive 3D Measurement System Using Phase-Based Image Matching

This paper presents a high-accuracy 3D (three-dimensional) measurement system using multi-camera passive stereo vision to reconstruct 3D surfaces of free form objects. The proposed system is based on an efficient stereo correspondence technique, which consists of (i) coarse-to-fine correspondence search, and (ii) outlier detection and correction, both employing phase-based image matching. The p...

Hybrid Measurement Scenarios in Automated Close-range Photogrammetry

Automated close-range photogrammetric measurement has traditionally been associated with expensive specialist cameras and usually requires highly controlled image illumination conditions. In the past few years, however, there has been a significant amount of research into the development of automated routines and algorithms that support the employment of consumer-grade colour digital cameras fo...
